17. Power of the Board to spend.
- Subject to the provisions of section 18, the Board shall have power to spend such sums as it deems fit on purposes authorized by this Act:Provided that nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent the Board from spending, with the previous approval of the Government, such moneys as it thinks fit on any such purpose outside the [State of Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for 'State of Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.].
