Section 49(3) in The Maharashtra Raw Cotton (Procurement, Processing and Marketing) Act, 1971

(3)The suspension of the operation of any sections under sub-section (1) shall not affect the provisions of those sections which are not suspended; and in respect of kapas already tendered before the periods of suspension (or which may be voluntarily tendered during the periods of suspension) at the collection centres (or any other centres specified by the State Government in that behalf), all the provisions of this Act shall continue to apply or apply thereto as if none of the provisions had been suspended.] [Sub-section (2) was substituted by Maharashtra 19 of 1972, Section 9.]NotificationsG. D., No. KPS. 1072/4552-C-6, dated 18th August 1972 (M.G., Part IV-B, page 1406) - Whereas, Chapter I and II of the Maharashtra Raw Cotton (Procurement, Processing and Marketing) Act, 1971 (Maharashtra XLV1I of 1971), have come into force on the 13th December 1971 i.e. the day on which the assent of the President to the said Act, was first published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette;Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the said Act, the Government of Maharashtra hereby appoints the 1st day of August 1972 as the date on which the remaining provisions of the said Act shall come into force.G. D., No. KPS. 1372/133-C-6, dated 17th April, 1972 (M.G., Part IV-B, page 681) - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Maharashtra Raw Cotton (Procurement, Processing and Marketing) Act, 1971 (Maharashtra XLVII of 1971). The Government of Maharashtra hereby establishes for the purposes of the said Act a Board by the name of "The Maharashtra State Cotton Control Advisory Board".G. N., A. & C. D., No. KPS. 1375/25284-10/C, dated 23rd December, 1976 (M.G., 1977, Part IV-B, page 5) - In pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Maharashtra Raw Cotton (Procurement, Processing and Marketing) Act, 1971 (Maharashtra XLVII of 1971). The Government of Maharashtra hereby in entries (12) to (18) below publishes the names of the non-Official members appointed by it and notifies for general information that the Maharashtra State Cotton Control Advisory Board shall consist of the following ex-officio members, and the non-official members aforesaid, namely:-
(1) The Minister of State for Co-operation, Maharashtra.   Ex-officioChairman under section 4(1)(a).
(2) The Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra, Agricultureand Cooperation Department (Co-operation Wing).   Ex-officioVice Chairman under section 4(1)(b).
(3) The Director, Directorate of Cotton Development Representativeof the Ministry of Agriculture.   Ex-officiomember appointed by the Central Governmentunder section 4(1)(b).
(4) The Chairman, Maharashtra State Co-operative MarketingFederation, or his representative.   Ex-officiomember under section 4(1)(d).
(5) The Managing Director, Maharashtra State Co-operativeMarketing Federation or his representative.   Ex-officiomember under section 4(1)(e).
(6) The Managing Director, Maharashtra Co-operative Bank, or hisrepresentative.   Ex-officiomember under section 4(1)(f).
(7) The Managing Director, Cotton Corporation of India Limited, orhis representative.   Ex-officiomember under section 4(1)(g).
(8) The Managing Director, Maharashtra State Textile CorporationLimited, or his representative.   Ex-officiomember under section 4(1)(h).
(9) The Chairman, Maharashtra Rajya Bazar Samiti Sahakari Sangh orhis representative.   Ex-officiomember under section 4(1)(i).
(10) The Director of Agriculture or his representative.   Ex-officiomember under section 4(1)(j).
(11) The Director of Marketing, Pune   Ex-officiomember under section 4(1)(k).
