In areas covered by Kharif season lease, a special water rate of eight annas per acre on areas left fallow or in which the crop is a complete failure may be sanctioned by the Divisional Canal Officer:Provided that an application for payment of water-rate at this special rate is presented to the Sub-divisional Canal Officer, during the currency of the lease and at least 20 days before the crop is cut.
