(2)Police officers of subordinate rank to those specified in clause (1), who may be detained for the duty, shall be permitted to enter the jail -(a)for the purpose of recognising old offenders, at the time of the Superintendent's weekly parade, and.(b)for the purpose of conducting operations for the identification of prisoners during working hours on any week day.
