ORDER
1. Shri Rajkumar filed an application dated 19.09.2014 under the Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI Act) before the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), Indo Tibetan Border 1 Police Force (ITBPF) seeking information on six points pertaining to ASI/Steno Recruitment Examination, 201213.
2. The appellant filed a second appeal before the Commission on 01.01.2015 on the grounds that the CPIO as well as the First Appellate Authority (FAA) have not provided complete information.
Hearing:
3. The appellant Shri Rajkumar attended the hearing through video conferencing. The respondent Shri Rambir Singh, Inspector, ITBP was present in person.

The appellant submitted that he had sought category wise (i.e. pertaining to SC/ST, OBC and General) vacancies for the post of ASI/Steno, list of selected candidates category wise, list of candidates who were put on the reserve list and list of candidates who were not selected. However, no information has been provided to him in response to his RTI application dated 19.09.2014.

The respondent submitted that as per Section 24(1) of the RTI Act, ITBP is exempted from the purview of the RTI Act, except when the information pertains to allegations of corruption and human rights violations. The respondent further submitted that the total number of vacancies in different categories for the ASI/Steno Recruitment Examination, 201213 has been published in the Employment News/Newspapers as well as uploaded on the website of ITBP. Nonetheless, information sought by the appellant was provided vide letter dated 01.10.2014. The respondent further submitted that the information relating to candidates who were not selected cannot be provided as disclosure of the same would cause unwarranted invasion of privacy of the individual.
2 Decision:

The Commission after hearing the submissions of the respondent and perusing the records, directs the CPIO to provide the list of candidates finally selected on the basis of ASI/Steno Recruitment Examination, 201213 to the appellant within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above observation, the appeal is disposed of.
8. Copy of the decision be provided to both the parties free of cost.
