Section 30(1) in The Maharashtra Land Revenue (Disposal of Government Lands) Rules, 1971
(1)Where the entire village site or a portion thereof is for any reason determined to be abandoned (herein called the old site), the Collector shall in consultation with the village panchayat, select, suitable Government land for the location of new village site (herein called the new site).
