1. Short title and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Sadar and Subdivisional Hospitals Act, 1955.(2)It shall come into [force] [The Act was brought into force with effect from the 15th July, 1956, vide Notification No. Medl./5233/IH-24/56., dated the 5th July, 1956, published in the Calcutta Gazette, dated the 12th July, 1956, Part I, page 2681.] on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
