Section 9(b) in The Punjab Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1952
(b)call upon the Electric Inspector to examine the cinematograph and the electrical equipment to be used in the building and to report [within a period of one month] [See Punjab Government Notification published in Punjab Government Gazette , Legilsture Supplement Part III, dated 22.4.1963.] whether they comply with the requirements both of these rules and of the Indian Electricity Act, 1910 and of such of the rules made thereunder as are applicable, whether all reasonable precautions have been taken to protect spectators and employees from electric shock and to prevent the introduction of the fire into the building through the use of electrical equipment, and whether the prescribed fire extinguishing appliances have been provided, are in working order and suitable for the purpose for which they are intended.
