10.08.2023 (AM Bujor Barua, J) It is claimed that Hemanta Namasudra, son of Lochanram Namasudra of the 1966 voters list of 7-South Karimganj Assembly Constituency at page 18 to the writ petition is the father of the petitioner.
Except for a certificate issued by the Panchayat authorities, no other material is available to substantiate that Usha Namasudra is the daughter of Hemanta Namasudra.
Mr. AM Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks for an adjournment to explore any further materials that may be available to establish the relationship.
Page No.# 3/3 The certificate of the Panchayat authorities is not supported by any further material which may satisfy the requirement of Section 50 of the Evidence Act.
