47. White-washing, colour washing of latrines and urinals.
- The walls, ceilings and partitions of every latrine and urinal shall be whitewashed or colour-washed and the white-washing or colour washing shall be repeated at least once in every period of four months. The dates on which the whitewashing or colour-washing is carried out shall be entered in the prescribed Register (Form No. 7) :Provided that this rule shall not apply to latrines and urinals, the walls, ceilings or partitions of which are laid in glazed tiles or otherwise finished to provide a smooth, polished, impervious surface and that they are washed with suitable detergents and disinfectant at least once in every period of four months.
