State of West Bengal - Subsection

Section 22(2A) in The North Bengal University Act, 1981

(2A)[ The Faculty Council for post-graduate studies in Medicine shall consist of the following members:-] [[Sub-section (2A) first inserted by W.B. Act 8 of 1993, then substituted by W.B. Act 17 of 1997. Previous Sub-section (2A) was as under :-'(2A) The Faculty Council for post-graduate studies in Medicine shall consist of the following members:-
(i)the Vice-Chancellor-Chairman;
(ii)the Head or Heads of the Department or Departments concerned, if any:
(iii)the Professor or Professors of the Department or Departments concerned, if any;
(iv)five Teachers participating in post-graduate teaching in the subject or subjects concerned;
(v)one person having special knowledge in the subject or subjects concerned nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;
(vi)three Teachers participating in undergraduate teaching elected by the Teacher members of the Council for undergraduate studies in the subject or subjects concerned from amongst themselves.'.]]
(i)the Vice-Chancellor-Chairman;
(ii)the Dean of the Faculty Council for post-graduate studies in Medicine, who shall be a Professor of the North Bengal Medical College-Vice-Chairman;
(iii)the Principal, North Bengal Medical College;
(iv)the Head of the Department or Departments concerned;
(v)the Professor or Professors of the Department or Departments concerned;
(vi)four Teachers of the North Bengal Medical College, other than Professors, from the Departments under the Faculty Council for post-graduate studies in Medicine, of whom not more than one shall belong to one Department, elected jointly by such Teachers from amongst themselves;
(vii)one Teacher from constituent colleges or professional colleges, nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;
(viii)one person having special knowledge in the subject or subjects concerned, nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;
(ix)three Teachers participating in undergraduate teaching, elected by the Teacher-members of the Council for undergraduate studies in Medicine in the subject or subjects concerned from amongst themselves.
