Section 28 in The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968
28. The Director of Research, Agriculture and the Director of Research, Veterinary.
- There shall be a the Director of Research, Agriculture and the Director of Research, Veterinary who shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University responsible to the vice-Chancellor. He shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the prior approval of the Board in accordance with the Statutes made in this respect. The Director of Research, Agriculture and the Director of Research, Veterinary shall be responsible for the direction and co-ordination of research programme as set forth in Section 33 of this Act and efficient working of the research stations.(2)The Director of Research, Agriculture and the Director of Research, Veterinary shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by the Statutes.
