Section 60(f) in Police Regulations, Calcutta, 1968
(f)Head constables or constables on return to the police station or similar police unit shall be responsible for seeing that each command certificate is returned to the Officer-in-charge who shall see that it is defaced and pasted in the book along with the duplicate copy.
