5. Sale of sand and the Precautions to be taken.
- The potential areas for sale of sand by auction shall be selected by taking following precautions to ensure that:(i)not to cause damage to the water courses or their bunds.(ii)lifting of sand should not affect the ecological conditions or the ground water landscape and that it shall not cause environmental damage and damage to any nearby structures. In sand bearing areas where the ground water table is likely to be adversely affected and nearby structures are likely to be damaged, the Collector may denotify such areas from sale by auction. The denotified areas shall not be put to auction.
