Section 109(1) in The Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir

(1)Appointment of persons to be, and the posting and promotion of, district judges in the State shall be made by the [Governor] [Substituted for 'Sadar-i-Riyasat' by the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir (Sixth Amendment) Act, 1965.] in consultation with the High Court.
