Section 218(1) in U.P. Building And Other Construction Workers (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Rules, 2009
(1)Every establishment wherein five hundred or more building workers are ordinarily employed, there shall be a Safety Committee constituted by the employer which shall be represented by equal number of representatives of employer and building workers employed in such establishment. In no case the number of representatives of the employer shall exceed the representatives of building workers. The committee shall be represented by representatives of the recognized unions, wherever such unions exit.
