88. Police Officers be given certificate of authority.-
(1)A person, on appointment as a police officer, shall be given a Certificate of Authority so as to enable him to discharge the functions of a police officer under the Act:Provided that no person shall be appointed as a police officer unless he has successfully completed the course of training as may be fixed by the Government.(2)The training period of a person who successfully completes the training shall be treated as duty in the manner as may be prescribed.
