(2)An employee, who has worked in excess of the hours of work fixed under clause (c) of sub-section (1), shall be paid by his employer wages at twice the ordinary rate, for every hour of such overtime work.Explanation 1. - For the purposes of this sub-section "ordinary rate" means the basic wages plus such allowances, including the each equivalent to the advantage accruing through the concessional sale to employees of foodings and other articles, as the employee is for the time being entitled to, but does not include bonus.Explanation 2. - In calculating the wages payable to an employee overtime work, a day shall be reckoned as consisting of eight working hours.
