Section 7(a) in The Rajasthan Boiler Operation Engineers' Rules, 1967
(a)A person incharge of a boiler shall be deemed to be in direct and immediate charge of the same when he is within 46 metres (150 feet) of such a boiler. Notwithstanding anything herein before contained, the Chief Inspector may, at his discretion, permit a Boiler Operation Engineer, holding a certificate of proficiency under these rules to be incharge of batteries of boilers as he deems fit, and further may permit a Boiler Operation Engineer freedom of movement to such a distance from any boiler battery, on such conditions as he may consider necessary.
