                                    ORDER

1. A Show Cause Notice was issued to Shri Ramesh Jha, the then AGM and CPIO, State Bank of India, (RACPC), Sector-16, Faridabad, Haryana on 27.07.2018, in compliance of the Commission's order No. CIC/SBIND/C/2017/111953 dated 18.05.2018, wherein the Commission has observed that no reply in response to the RTI application was furnished to the complainant by the respondent. The CPIO was directed to explain as to why action under Section 20(1) of the RTI Act should not be initiated against him.

Hearing on 24.10.2018:

2. The respondent Shri Ramesh Jha, the then AGM and CPIO, State Bank of India, (RACPC), Sector-16, Faridabad, Haryana was present in person.

3. The respondent submitted that at the time of receiving the RTI application he was the CPIO, State Bank of India, (RACPC), Sector-16, Faridabad, Haryana.

As he has retired from service on 31.01.2017, he could not access the bank's records and is unable to ascertain the reason for not furnishing any response to the RTI application. He, therefore, requested the Commission to grant him some more time to access the relevant records and make submissions in the matter.

Interim Decision:

4. The Commission considered the request of the respondent and adjourns the matter to 27.12.2018 at 12.20 pm.

5. Copy of the interim decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
