ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the speed breakers in State Highways Karur - Aravakurchi Taluk, Sellivalasu via Vennaikothur Road (Kurumbapatti Road) in light of the orders passed by the respondent No.7 in Na.Ka.No. 655/2021/A2 dated 24.09.2022, within a time frame.
2. Heard Mr.K.Dinesh, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 8 and Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the 9th respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 8 produced the written instructions of the 8th respondent – Assistant Divisional Engineer, Highways Department, Construction and 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)No.23602 of 2022 Maintenance, T.Sellandipalayam, dated 13.10.2022, and submitted that the prayer of the petitioner is met with since pursuant to the representation of the petitioner, the speed breakers made up of cement and unauthorized speed breakers were removed, however, since the public of that area objected for removing the said speed breakers, speed breakers were relaid by the Highways Department, wherever, it is required to be laid.
4. Recording the said submission of the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 8, this Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the authorities concerned, if any of the written submissions made by the 8th respondent appears to be wrong. No costs.
