Section 11(1) in The Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University Act, 1978
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be the principal executive and academic officer of the University and shall, in the absence of the Chancellor, preside at meetings of the Court and any convocation of the University. He shall be an ex-officio member and Chairman of the Executive Council, and of the Academic Council. He shall be entitled to be present with the right to speak, at any meeting of any other authority or body of the University, but shall not be entitled to vote thereat unless he is a member of that authority or body.
