27.02.2026 Heard Ms. N. Saikia learned counsel for the petitioners. The petitioners are aggrieved that in spite of their recommendation for appointment on compassionate ground by the DLC subsequent to the SLC, their cases have remained pending and appointment orders have not been issued. It is submitted that matter is pending before the Personal Department.
Ms. M. Bhattacharjee, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate will obtain instructions in the matter and apprise the Court on 16.03.2026.
Although notices are not issued, extra copies be furnished within a period of 2 (two) working days to the learned Government Advocate.
Ms. G. Bora, learned Standing Counsel appears for Agriculture Department and Mr. A. Chaliha, learned Standing Counsel appears for Finance Department.
