Section 9(a) in Tamil Nadu Town Panchayat Establishment (Qualification and Recruitment of Office Assistants) Rules, 1988
(a)Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of three years.
