- Import into and export out of India of the narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances is prohibited except with an import certificate or export authorisation issued under the provision of this Chapter.Provided that import into India or export out of India of the narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances specified in Schedule I of these rules shall be for the purpose mentioned in Chapter VIIA.] [Substituted by Notification No. G.S.R. 500(E), dated 17.6.2015 (w.e.f. 14.11.1985).]
