44. Penalty.
- Whoever copies or films any protected monument or does any other act in contravention of any provision of this Chapter or of any permission or licence granted thereunder shall [on conviction] [Substituted by G. N. of 15.4.1968.] be punished with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
