The F.I.R was registered on the basis of statement made by Ranjit Singh-respondent No.2 (complainant), alleging that on 22.02.2009 at about 9:30 A.M., he was present in his house along with his family members. At that time, Wassan Singh, Sajjan Singh and Nazar Singh sons of Narinder Singh were passing in front of their house and on seeing them, their pet dog started barking, upon which, Sajan Singh and Nazar Singh started giving bad names. When the complainant came outside, they started giving him filthy abuses. Rani Kaur raised a lalkara that they be taught a lesson for creating nuisance in the marriage of Gajjan Singh. Gajjan Singh opened the main gate of the house and thereafter, all the accused forcibly entered in the house of the complainant and inflicted injuries upon him. Amandeep Kaur, sister of the complainant came forward to save him along with his brother-in- law. Upon this, all the accused-petitioners started giving beatings to them. One Angrej Singh raised an alarm, whereupon all the accused fled away. Thereafter, the complainant was taken to the civil hospital. In this background, the FIR was registered.
During the pendency of the trial, the matter has now been amicably resolved between the the parties, vide compromise deed dated 06.07.2013 (Annexure P-2).
In compliance with the order dated 23.07.2013 passed by this Court, the parties got recorded their statements before the trial Court. Report from the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Amritsar, has been received in this regard. As per report, Ranjit Singh- respondent No.2 made his statement on 10.10.2013 to the effect that he has effected a compromise with the accused-petitioners and he does not want to proceed with the present case. He has no objection if the above said FIR is quashed. Statement of Angrej Singh, eye witness (brother of the complainant), was also recorded to the same effect. In view of separate statements of the complainant and his brother, the court is satisfied that the compromise is valid and genuine one.
