Section 24(2) in The Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966
(2)The total number of seats in the Legislative Assembly of Punjab to be constituted at any time after the appointed day, to be filled by persons chosen by direct election from territorial constituencies, shall be one hundred and four which twenty-three seats shall be reserved for the Schedule Castes.
