Section 234(a) in U.P. Building And Other Construction Workers (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Rules, 2009
(a)every cofferdam and caisson is -(i)of good construction, sound material and of adequate strength;(ii)provided with adequate means for building workers to reach safely at the top of such cofferdam or caisson, as the case may be, in the event of an inrush of water;(iii)provided with safe means of access to every place where building workers are employed in such cofferdam and caisson, as the case may be.
