Dated this the 9th day of January, 2017.

                         J U D G M E N T

The petitioner joined duty in the post of Fisherman- cum-Watchman in the service of Matsyafed. He is due to retire on 31.01.2017. The grievance of the petitioner in the writ petition concerns the omission on the part of the Government in fixing a pay to the post which is being held by the petitioner. He, therefore, preferred a representation to the Manager of the Unit in which he is working. By Ext.P3, the Manager has forwarded the representation of the petitioner to the Managing Director of Matsyafed. The limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, when this matter was taken up for consideration, is for a direction to the Managing Director of the Matsyafed to take a final decision on the recommendation made by the Manager of the unit of the petitioner as per Ext.P3.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as also the learned Standing Counsel for the Matsyafed. WP.(C).No.569/2017-U. 2 Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition directing the second respondent to take a final decision on Ext.P3, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a month from today. Ordered accordingly.
