In the areas where the Assam Panchayat Raj Act, 1972, is in operation, the Block Development Officer, such other officer, as may be specified by State Government in this behalf, with the help of such officers of Education Department as may be attached to him, shall act as a co-ordinating agency to see that the provisions of this Act are observed in the schools.
