Section 36(1)(a) in Regulations of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University

(a)At the end of each academic year, a gold medal shall be awarded to the best graduating student in each college and in each of the degree programmes; the basis for such an award shall be the overall grade point average obtained by the student in the degree programme.
