Section 3(1) in The U.P. Harcourt Butler Technical University Act, 2016
(1)The Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor, the members of the Executive Council, Academic Council and others, holding office as such in the University are hereby constituted by the name of the Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur;
