71. Constitution of First Academic Council.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (2) of section 29, from the appointed day until such time as the Academic Council constituted in accordance with the provisions of that sub-section holds its first meeting, the Academic Council consisting of the following members shall be deemed to be constituted for the purposes of this Act:-(a)The Vice-Chancellor - ex officio Chairman;(b)The Director of the University;(c)The Dean of Faculties;(d)Two Associate Deans to be nominated by the Pro-Chancellor;The Registrar shall be ex officio Secretary of the Academic Council.
