Section 13(1) in The Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidhyalaya Adhiniyam, 1991
(1)The Academic Council shall be in charge of the academic affairs of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, superintend, direct and the control, and be responsible for the maintenance of standards of instruction, education and examination and other matters connected with the conferment of degrees or award of diplomas, and shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed on it by the Statutes. It shall advise the Vice-Chancellor on all academic matters.
