% 21.12.2020 The present matter has been taken up for hearing by way of Video Conferencing on account of COVID-19.
CM APPL. 33457/2020 Mr. Ashim Shridhar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners/applicants informs us that the following petitioners who had also appeared in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examinations-2020, in terms of the permission granted by this Court vide order dated 2nd December, 2020 have cleared the said examination:

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners further urges that the present applicants, who have also cleared the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examinations-2020, be allowed to appear in the Civil Services Examinations - Mains scheduled to be held in the month of January, 2021.
Having heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties have perused the material on record, it is directed that the aforementioned petitioners/applicants who have cleared the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examinations - 2020 are allowed to appear in the Civil Services Examinations - Mains, subject to the condition that appearing in the main examination will be subject to the final orders be passed in the W.P.(C) 6858/2020 Page 3 of 4 accompanying writ petition and that no special equities will flow in their favour by the present order.
Re-notify on 19.02.2021, the date already fixed. The application is disposed of accordingly.
