Section 100(9) in The Coal Mines Regulations, 2011
(9)Adequate arrangement shall be provided in the belt conveyor to ensure that it gets automatically stopped,(a)in case of excessive friction between the belt and the drum, roller, scrapper, deflectors, guides or any other obstruction caused either due to spillage or otherwise;(b)in case of breakage of the belt; and(c)in case of fire or heating in the belt conveyor or in the vicinity thereof.
