Section 84(3) in The Air Force Rules, 1969

(3)[ The Court shall allow great latitude to the accused in making his defence, he must abstain from any remarks contemptuous or disrespectful towards the Court, and from coarse and insulting language towards others, but he may for the purpose of his defence impeach the evidence and the motives of witnesses and prosecutor, and charge other persons with blame and even criminality, subject, if he does so, to any liability to further proceedings to which he would otherwise be subject. The Court may caution the accused as to the irrelevance of his defence, but shall not, unless in special cases, stop his defence solely on ground of such irrelevance.]
