Section 31 in The Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966
31. Certain offences to be cognizable.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in the [Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Central Act V of 1898)] [Now the Code of Criminal. Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974).], an offence under clause (i) or clause (iii) of sub-section (1) of section 29, shall be deemed to be a cognizable offence within the meaning of that Code.
