(1)If at any time, on the application of the Highway Authority, the State Government is satisfied that any land required for the purpose of a highway should be compulsorily acquired, it shall be acquired under and in accordance with the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (1 of 1894), as amended time to time.
