Section 29 in The Maharashtra Medical Council Act, 1965
29. Penalty for falsely claiming to be registered.
- If any person whose name is not for the time being entered in the register falsely represents that it is so entered, or uses in connection with his name or title any words or letters reasonably calculated to suggest that his name is so entered, he shall, on conviction be punished with fine which may extend to [five thousand rupees] [These words were substituted for the words 'five hundred rupees' by Maharashtra 5 of 2004 Section 6, (w.e.f. 10-2-2004) ].
