(8)"committee" means a Standing Committee [x x] [Omitted 'or a Joint Committee' by Act 14 of 1999,w.e.f.24- 3-1999.] or a Steering Committee [xx] [Omitted 'or a Ward Committee' by Act 14 of 1999,w.e.f.24- 3-1999.] constituted under this Act or other Committees constituted by the Council for any specific purpose;
