Section 19(2) in The Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1963
(2)Notwithstanding anything containing in sub-section (1), the Chairman or, as the case may be, Vice-Chairman holding office as such on the date of commencement of the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 1987, shall continue to hold office as such Chairman or Vice-Chairman irrespective of the category of member to which he belongs until expiry of his term of office unless he resigns, or is disqualified or removed earlier.
