                                                                2026:KER:11495

                                  JUDGMENT

The petitioner challenges Ext.P1 licence, which restricted the validity of the petitioner's arms licence to one year and further seeks a direction to issue the same for a period of five years.

2. It is submitted by both sides that the issue is covered in favour of the petitioner by the judgment in W.P.(C) No.8335/2025 dated 22.05.2025.

3. Accordingly, the period of validity of the licence mentioned in Ext.P1 is quashed, and there will be a direction to the respondent to grant the petitioner a licence for five years from the date of issuance of the licence. Appropriate orders as directed above shall be passed, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. It is made clear that only the period mentioned in Ext.P2 is varied, and all other contentions will remain.

The writ petition is allowed as above.
