(2)The minimum area required for grant of mining lease in hill slope shall not be less than 0.5 hectare:Provided that in case of mining leases granted prior to the publication of these rules, the restriction of mining lease area at the time of their renewal shall not apply:Provided further that the State Government, if it is satisfied on the basis of proposed production level, geological or topographical conditions may for the reasons to be recorded in writing relax the condition of area.
