Section 24(1) in Assam Panchayat (Constitution) Rules, 1995
(1)Any candidate may withdraw his candidature by a notice in writing in duplicate signed by him and delivered to the Deputy Commissioner or the Sub-Divisional Officer as the case may be, or the Officer authorised by him in this behalf, on the date, time and place notified under clause (c) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 16 of these rules.
