Section 5(c) in The Rajasthan Municipalities (Class IV Service) (Revised Pay Scales) Rules, 1971
(c)Where any member has already expired or expires before, exercising his option within the prescribed period he may be deemed to have exercised his option in favour of the revised pay scale or the existing pay scale whichever is advantageous to him and his pay shall be fixed accordingly.(iii)The option once exercised shall be final.
