Section 12(3) in Himachal Pradesh Technical University Act, 2014

(3)For the purpose of sub-section (2) the Search Committee shall consist of following members to recommend the names for appointment as Vice-Chancellor, namely: -
(a) a nominee of the Chancellor to be recommended bythe Government who shall be a person of eminence in the field ofEngineering/Technology not below the rank of Professor; Chairperson
(b) a representative of the State Government notbelow the rank of Secretary to the Government of HimachalPradesh; Member;
(c) The Director, IndianInstitute of Technology located within the State;and Member; and
(d) The Registrar, Himachal Pradesh TechnicalUniversity. Member Secretary.
