                                                    COMMON ORDER


These writ petitions have been filed for a Mandamus, directing the second respondent Bank to provide educational loan to the petitioners' sons for pursuing their course at Karnataka.

2. When these writ petitions were taken up for hearing, there was no representation for the petitioners on 08.06.2023 and 11.12.2023.

Hence, the Registry was directed to list these writ petitions on 13.12.2023 under the caption “For Dismissal”. On 13.12.2023, a representation was made that the learned counsel Mr.V.Sankaranarayanan is no more and therefore, Mr.U.Antony 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)Nos.11065 and 11146 of 2017 Santhosh, learned counsel on record, requested some time to get instructions.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent Bank submitted that the petitioners, even without obtaining any application for educational loan and without submitting any application, have filed these writ petitions for a Mandamus, seeking educational loan.

4. Considering the representation of the second respondent Bank, this Court directed the Registry to list these writ petitions under the caption “For Dismissal” on 15.12.2023, however, it was not taken up for want of time. Today, again, it is listed under the caption “For Dismissal”. Even today, there is no representation for the petitioners.

5. These writ petitions have been filed in the year 2017 seeking for a Mandamus, directing the second respondent Bank to provide 4/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)Nos.11065 and 11146 of 2017 educational loan to the petitioners' sons for pursuing their courses at Karnataka. Now, six years have lapsed and by this time, the petitioners' sons would have completed their course. Accordingly, these writ petitions are dismissed. No costs.
