Section 3(4) in Karnataka Ayurvedic, Naturopathy, Siddha, Unani And Yoga Practitioners' Registration And Medical Practitioners' Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1961

(4)The seats of members elected under clause (b) of sub-section (3) shall be so divided amongst the registered practitioners of different systems of medicine as to be in the proportion of the number of their members on the register:Provided that in determining the said proportion, a fraction of one-half or less shall be neglected and fraction of more than one-half shall be counted as one:Provided further that the number of members representing registered practitioners of any system of medicine shall not at any time be less than two:Provided also for the purposes of the proviso to sub-section (3), the State Government shall nominate the practitioners of each of such systems in such proportion as it deems fit, from amongst the practitioners who may be eligible to be entered in the Register.
